The Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation (HSSF) was established to create a national platform that celebrates the spirit of selfless service rooted in Hindu civilization. The idea emerged in December 2006 during a gathering in Ahmedabad where leading spiritual masters, scholars, social thinkers and community leaders deliberated on the need to present the vast service ecosystem of Hindu society before the nation.
Inspired by this vision, HSSF was established as a voluntary national movement dedicated to connecting spiritual values with social action.
For centuries, countless Hindu spiritual institutions have quietly served society by operating schools, hospitals, hostels, orphanages, tribal development projects, environmental initiatives, disaster relief programmes and countless other humanitarian activities.
Much of this work, however, remained largely unknown to the general public. HSSF was established to create a common platform where these organizations could present their work, collaborate with one another, and inspire citizens to become active participants in service.
